Market Days

I have been loving the sunshine and getting out my gear to sell at markets!

I have almost sold out of my pendants, and have just about finished making a new range. They will be available online soon (including prints of the original illustration below! These ones are going into the local gallery christmas shop.

2013 Calendars

I have released 3 calendars for 2013, for sale in my etsy shop. Also I am very close to 200 likes on my Facebook page, and this means a giveaway of one of my bird calendars is coming up!

This print was recently bought by a lovely person in New South Wales. It is wonderful to think that something I made can be enjoyed in a place I will never go by people I will never meet :)

When time permits, I will continue adding items to my shop. I currently have a limited amount of prints for sale on etsy, but all of my work can also be purchased directly from me as a print which is very affordable - just email me anytime if you would like to choose something not listed. My flickr site or facebook page displays all of my work available for purchase as prints.

Invitation Design

I was recently asked to design invitations for my sisters’ wedding. I was delighted, because apart from this being a very exciting celebration in our family, I was really honoured to create something personal for my wonderful sister and her fiancé.

The original illustration was done in black ink, which I then transformed into colour for printing. I loved doing this, and would be more than happy to work with anyone interested in using my designs for their invitations!

Open for Business!

I have finally opened my Etsy Shop! Listing everything is a little bit more work than I expected, but so far I have some prints in my shop. Soon there will be other items!

I am Guilty of Severe Neglect

My blog has been severely neglected the past month, I am really missing it! I wish there were more hours in the day - actually, I really wish I could leave everything else and just do art and update my blog with all the work I am doing... I guess that's the problem with going on a holiday - tons of catching up to do!

But everything is returning to "normal", and I am now happily doing art again. This week my goal of opening my etsy shop is almost here, and I am very excited!

I am now putting some of the experimental work I have been doing on canvas - part of a collection of pieces ready for my Etsy Shop coming later in the year! Exciting! 

It's coming...

My blogging habits have slackened off lately, but in the background I have been working on drawings and paintings.  I have also been researching how to produce some sellable items, and set up a shop.  I would love nothing more than to eventually work as an artist.

While I have been trawling the internet I have come across some fantastic etsy shops.  This ring I thought was so cute I had to show you:

It is made out of the end of a spoon!  Kathryn Reichert makes these and other jewellery.

And I am excited about Robin's jewellery (From the Blue Shed), which she will be selling soon.  I love her new range of necklaces, and I am going to put my order in for one of the Smashed Collection pieces.

I have almost finished my latest painting - hopefully I will have it posted in the next couple of days.
