Hello Again

Has it really been a month since I was last here? I hope you will forgive me for not posting a July Desktop Calender, I have not been very creative :)

It actually feels like forever ago since I was in the real world, it has been a very big month...

...the arrival of a precious little niece...

...a beautiful Bali holiday...

...and a very sad goodbye to a very special friend...

...forever in my heart...

Holiday Colours

I did a little bit of photoshopping on some recent holiday photos... I love the colour palettes that are provided directly from the sky!

Painting : The Navvies

I found some photo's in my Nanna's Collection that I wanted to use as the subject for a painting.  These workers were known as the "Navvies" and went out into the Goldfields Outback to maintain the train lines.  I can't begin to imagine how hard the work must have been.  It really makes me appreciate my Grandparents.

These photos are dated 1923.

I used paper collage and acrylic on MDF for this painting.
