I love the furniture of designer Finn Juhl. The Danish architect is regarded as one of the greatest furniture designers of the 20th century - and I can't argue with that!
It's retro, purple & orange stripey, it's comfy, and it's the best lounge ever! I bought this lounge suite from a 2nd hand furniture store in immaculate condition, and now it's my most favourite place in my house!
Zoe Murphy's furniture and textile designs represent everything I love... the restored & recycled furniture, the patterns, the retro, the colours. Whats not to love?! The results of her hard work are so inspiring!
I must have made a transformation over the years, but I have gone from once having an aversion to Tupperware, to now wanting it featured in my house as one of these light fittings. Is it just me that thinks these are marvellous?
They can change the look of a room or tie different elements or colours of a room together. I love them, and have been looking around for some to add to my lounge room. Here are some I have found...
These are my favourite... Valentina's work is very inspiring and her designs look amazing on fabric. I love her cushions!
Decor8 (another amazing design blog) featured some of these retro inspired designs at Retrovilla. This is a shop in Denmark that custom makes furniture using vintage wallpaper. I was very happy to find such a huge range of great patterns and designs on their web site to look at. Why do all the good shops have to be in Europe?!
Since beginning my blog, I have found some really amazing blogs out there that I love to read, and that are a great source of inspiration. Another design blog that fits into this category is Bloesem.
Because of this site I was able to know about these gorgeous containers!
I came across it on the Furniture Fashion blog, which featured an article on it. If you like reading news on architecture, decorating and design, you should check out this blog, it has many inspirational articles.
