Recycling the Past

I am a hoarder, and too sentimental for my own good.  Way back when there was no email or messenger or sms (my kids have no idea...) I had a penpal.  We wrote dozens of letters a year for several years and for some reason I didn't throw out a single one.  In fact I didn't throw out any letters from back then... from friends and family, and my Grandma who lived in England.  I recently unearthed these and notebooks and cards from over the years, and with inspiration from my growing list of favourite artists' blogs, I decided to cut them up and make things out of them:
