John Olsen's work is unique and dynamic. I first saw one of his paintings at the WA Art Gallery in Perth during a highschool excursion and he has been at the top of my favourite artists' list ever since. His abstract work looks as though it pours directly out of him displaying all the feelings he has about his subject - which is usually the Australian Landscape.
