My Favourite Artists: Janine Daddo

Janine Daddo paints in a whimsical style that I love.  Her large paintings are layered with texture and rich colour and over the years she has begun to include more patterns in her work.  This makes me love her more than I already did - if that is possible!

She is repesented by the Munyung Gallery in the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria - Australia), and there are dozens of her paintings that can be seen (and bought... if only I could!) on their website.

Corporate Art also has a biography and images of Janine Daddo's work.

  1. Hi Sharon,

I am experiencing a renewed interest for art and creativity and have recently visited a number of galleries throughout Melbourne. While I am local to the Manyung Gallery, I've never actually stopped by before. My first visit was a very pleasant experience. While I'm often not a big fan of contemporary art, I was however impressed by the works at the gallery, especially that of Janine Daddo. Her style, themes and the vibrancy of her work really captured my eye, heart and imagination. Unlike other artist works that may look better when photographed than actually up close, her individual pieces really stand out and entice the passer-by to stop and observe. The gallery staff, who I found to be very helpful and informative, also pointed out that Janine is now doing metal sculpture as well; some of which was present, and was equally as impressive as her oil and mixed media paintings.

    Regards,
    Damian, Frankston
